Cosmic Culture 07/05

The Crabs are out to play in this week’s cosmic culture as a magical New Moon brings us to the deep end of Cancer season.

Don’t Call it a Comeback

Millennials rejoice! Up first in the Cancer crab-walk lineup is Lindsay Lohan…who began filming the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday earlier this week. Lindsay was reportedly “emotional” as she stepped onto the Disney lot to reprise her role as Anna Coleman—that girl was a one time teenage drama queen! Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray will resume their respective roles in the sequel, joined by new cast additions Manny “Good Place” Jacinto and Maitreyi “Never Have I Ever” Ramakrishnan. Nostalgia, mother-daughter relationships, AND comforting movies? Can it get more Cancer season than this? Freaky Friday 2 is slated for a 2025 release.

✨ Cosmic alert: Did we mention Lindsay is a Cancer Sun? She celebrated her 38th birthday on July 2, inviting in a year focused on communication, press, perspective, writing, sibling matters, and maybe even a neighborhood move to boot! Expect to hear more from LiLo over the next year with the powerful Cancer new moon activating her natal Cancer sun self. Bring on the Lohannaisance!

National Anthem 2.0

All hail the Queen of Cancer Season, Lana Del Rey, as she finally released Tough, her widely anticipated trap-country single with rap superstar Quavo. Despite the song being teased recently, Lana officially released the record this week with an accompanying Americana-romance-themed cinematic music video reminiscent of her National Anthem era with A$AP Rocky. No comment on whether Lana and Quavo are more than just creative collaborators, but fans can expect the duet to appear on Lana’s upcoming country album Lasso scheduled for a September 2024 release.

✨ Cosmic alert: Lana isn’t just your standard Cancer mother, she’s also got her Mars (behavior) and Mercury (lyrics) in the watery sign, giving her an intuitive ability to pull from a deep well of emotion and creative inspiration. She recently performed Tough live for an audience on June 21, coinciding with that major Full Moon in Capricorn. As full moons can indicate closing chapters, Lana’s performance echoes a formal release from her familiar alt-indie pop sound. Stay tuned for the Capricorn Full Moon on July 21 for events to build on this country mash-up.

Home Sweet Home

After a hiatus from real estate reality TV, NYC-based celebrity broker Ryan Serhant (of Million Dollar Listing fame) is back with his spin-off Owning Manhattan. The show centers on Ryan’s new brokerage, Serhant, and his quest to turn it into the number one brokerage in the city. Cue ambitious agents and stunning NY penthouse properties (hello $250 million Central Park triplex!) sandwiched between nonstop drama—this is the only real estate docuseries that features live firings after all Consider this the vision board Inspo for the home of your dreams, just in time for the Cancer New Moon!

✨ Cosmic Alert: It was a big week for Ryan—not only did his show premiere on Netflix, but he also ushered in his 40th birthday on July 2 (yes, he shares a very Cancerian birthday with LiLo!). Much like Lana, Ryan also has a Cancer stellium—three or more planets in a sign; he's got his Sun (self), Mercury (communication), and Venus (relationships and money) in Cancer, giving him some SERIOUS good home juju. Of all the Zodiac signs, Cancer and Taurus are the two most primed for real estate success; Cancer is the ultimate homebody with a nurturing, family focus while Taurus longs for stability and abundance. If you’ve got yourself a broker with prominent Cancer and Taurus energy, consider yourself #blessed.
