Cosmic Culture 10/11

We’re amidst a cosmic crossroads en route to a supercharged full moon next week. With eclipse season officially winding down, what are you ready to move on from so you can start truly living?

The Table is Set

At 83, Martha Stewart stays serving. Despite being one of the most recognizable cultural icons of our time, it’s hard to gauge who the real Martha is behind the splashy headlines and controversy. And yet, fans will get a chance to dive deeper into Martha’s well with the upcoming release of her eponymous Netflix documentary. The documentary explores Martha’s heroine’s journey—her rise, fall, and comeback, her beloved friendship with Snoop Dogg, and her time behind bars (“I was a trophy for these idiots”). The trailer dropped this week with a bombshell reveal: Martha had cheated on her ex-husband, Andrew Stewart, during their 29-year marriage—you already know the brew is PIPING. Martha premieres on October 30, consider your low-key Halloween weekend plans sorted.

✨ Cosmic alert: Martha is a Leo Sun, Scorpio Rising, and a Sagittarius Moon— a magnetic entertainer who knows how to draw you in. Martha knows how to whoop it up, yet her fiery and fun demeanor could mask more complicated matters. Martha is currently experiencing her Jupiter Return in Gemini, a twelve-year cycle that promises an expansion of perspectives and awareness; Gemini is the sign of documentaries, interviews, and information. The trailer for Martha dropped as Jupiter stationed retrograde (began to reverse) this week, perfectly dovetailing with the idea of the zeitgeist revisiting the enigma of Martha Stewart.

This is Her….Now (Again)

Say what you want about Jennifer Af…sorry, Lopez, the woman is the OG definition of doing it with a broken heart—sorry Swifties. After experiencing public heartbreak for the umpteenth time, Lopez opens up in a candid spread (I mean…who else can confidently spread in a bikini like that?) for Interview Magazine’s 55th anniversary cover. Guided by Nikki Glaser, Lopez invites readers into her tumultuous summer in her first official interview after her divorce from Ben Affleck. In a refreshing turn, the Bronx native and self-proclaimed romantic shares that she’s “excited” by the idea of being on her own and wants to explore the idea of being free. We’re excited about the prospect too Jenny, and here’s to hoping that the next time around the block feels better than this last go around.

✨ Cosmic alert: You probably didn’t need astrology to tell you that J.Lo is a Leo Sun BUT you probably did need astrology to tell you whether she’s truly learned her lesson this time. And the answer is…highly likely. Jennifer’s Interview cover dropped the day that Jupiter (expansion and opportunity) stationed retrograde on her natal Venus (relationships and values), offering weight to her words and deeper symbolism around her experiences in love this past Summer. Expect developments to transpire in Lopez’s love narrative around February 2025, when Jupiter finally resumes its forward motion.

Let’s Hear It for the Boys

It’s a big moment for millennial girlies as Chad Michael Murray and Adam Brody have emerged from their teenage heartthrob slumbers (seriously, where did they go?) to reclaim their rightful spot on the TV content throne. This week, we got the official confirmation that Brody’s Nobody Wants This has officially been renewed for a second season (Mazel to all of us!) while Chad Michael Murray will be stripping down for a Magic Mike-esque Netflix Christmas special The Merry Gentlemen (if you haven’t seen the exclusive People Magazine photos, stop what you’re doing, google, and thank us later). The rest of the world may currently be in dire stakes, but the millennial inner child landscape is thriving—unless Chris Pine doesn’t get cast in The Princess Diaries 3, in which case, there will be blood.

✨ Cosmic Alert: The past week could have felt vaguely like Mercury retrograde as Jupiter slowed down in social Gemini—old memories rushing back to the forefront and old connections resurfacing for one final gasp of air. Gemini is also the sign of twos (cute season two symbolism), childhood memories, trends, and the media. It’s only fitting that Jupiter, the planet of gifts and abundance, rained down its blessings and delivered some much-needed escapist pop culture zeitgeist fodder with two (Gemini!) fictional boys we’ve loved before. Before we close this inner child chapter, we get one more chance to breathe life into the script.
