US Thanksgiving ooh la la
Your Weekly Breakdown
How was your week? Are we all finding little moments of joy and amusement, breathing easy and expressing gratitude with ease?
No? Lolsob same.
My week was a hot mess express, but that seems to be the norm lately. I think that’s why I feel so into this newsletter and pod…any little bit of joy I can send you is worth it. I saw this and it resonated deeply.
I said to a friend the other day, “it seems like I can be social and exhausted, or anti-social and just a little bit tired.” Great, just in time for the insanity that is December.
Deep breath…life’s pains are inevitable, but the accompanying suffering isn’t. We can always make the best of what we have.
With the Holiday season thundering toward us, now more than ever we need to find a moment each day to breathe, rest, or find a simple pleasure to indulge in.
I’ll take feedback, questions, thoughts, stories, jokes, or swears anytime at hey@hardcopy.online.
For our US readers, Happy Thanksgiving! I know you’ve been doing a lot of hosting and entertaining, so I’m sending you hugs and I look forward to hearing your horror stories…and the good ones, obvi.

📚 Read
Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn is a great novel about an aging bunch of ex-killers. An easy, funny, and action packed read.
💫 Indulge
There are a million black friday / cyber monday sales so I’m not even going to go there.
Don’t worry fashion babes, I loved this newsletter where there is zero gatekeeping and just such a great rundown of the best fashion sales this black friday.
🐣 Kiddos
In trying to be somewhat organized for the Holiday season, I’m on the prowl for kids’ stuff that is screen-free, educational, and entertaining. The Yoto Mini is my favourite find so far, but please do share some of your own finds as mothering is not my top skill, although I’m trying. I love that you can get a rubber jacket for inevitable accidents, and there are so many different options for story cards. I love this little thing! Can I have a grown up one, please?
